The Drak War monastery

het Drak War klooster, Tibet

The Tara Foundation seeks sponsors for a unique monastery in Tibet, close to the devastated Ganden monastery in Lhasa. This is the Drak War Monastery from Sersang Rinpoche, a renowned lama, who was executed by the Chinese. Sersang Rinpoche was the uncle of Geshe Sonam Gyaltsen. His reincarnation now lives in Gaden Yangtze (South India) and is in this life the cousin of Geshela. This monastery is unique in that the Gelup Gelugpa Chöd practise not only is still practiced, but also passed on.
