Stupa project for Khensur Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup
Dear sponsor,

As you may already know, the Tara Foundation helps Tibetan refugees in need, especially refugee monks and nuns. Our main projects are the Gaden Jangtse (Tsawa) Monastery in South India and Kopan Nunnery in Nepal. Besides fundraising for living, health care and construction, we provide currently 97 sponsorships.
Several times a year we offer a newsletter with a special promotion for one of the projects.
This time we ask your attention for the Stupa project for Khensur Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup of Kopan. It is, according to the western calendar, a year ago that Lama Lhundrup manifested the aspect of death, on 7 September 2011.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised to build two stupas for the soon coming of the unmistakable reincarnation of Lama Lhundrup, and to fulfill all his wishes.
The smallest stupa, a stupa of enlightenment, is currently being built at the Kopan monastery and is almost done. It only needs the finishing touch.
According the the advice of Lama Zopa Rinpoche a large Mahabodhi stupa is going to be built at the Kopan Nunnery. It will be a combination of the stupa in Bodhgaya and the Mahabodhi Stupa in Patan.
The stupa will be built in front of the new prayer hall of the Nunnery, with a walkway and a beautiful garden around it. The height will be between 12 and 15 meters. On the outer walls of the stupa there will be several thousands of Buddhas and on the inside the 3 large Buddhas: Amitabha, Maitreya and Heruka. On the inner walls many Heruka tsa-tsa’s will be placed with the ashes of Lama Lhundrup.
When enough money can be raised, the construction of the stupa will start next year.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to donate for the construction of this particular stupa! The contribution to this stupa not only creates a lot of good karma, but also helps the wishes of Khensur Rinpoche Lama Lhundrup to be fulfilled. Thereby it creates causes for his unmistakable reincarnation to come as soon as possible.
Every donation is welcome! You can transfer your donation to account number: Deutsche Bank Tara Foundation, Balkbrug, Netherlands
